Rockwell Automation has introduced two new high-performance automation controllers – ControlLogix L73 and L75 for process, discrete and motion applications. Rockwell already boasts of a strong portfolio of Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) courtesy its Allen-Bradley ControlLogix series.
The latest PACs offer advanced memory, high-performance logic, high-speed processing for information-intensive apps, thereby leading to lower lifecycle costs and reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). It’s a win-win situation for manufacturers as they get dual benefits – improved performance and better compliance with industry standard protocols.
ControlLogix L73 and L75 PACs have been exhaustively tested and verified for integration with Ethernet/IP and SERCOS network interfaces. Both these PACs ship with a 1 GB secure digital card which offers improved data integrity and speedier data access. L73 is suitable for users who need up to 16 MB memory while L75 is a better choice for memory-intensive users who’d like to scale up to 32 MB. The energy modules have been optimized and do not require Lithium batteries for periodic power needs. Therefore, in addition to their improved performance, environmental friendliness is another major selling point of ControlLogix L73 an L75.
Both models are available for shipping.
