Rockwell Automation Major Stockholders
When analyzing a company and determining where it is headed, it is vital to look at the major stockholders of the company. More often than not those major stockholders have board of directors seat which gives them power when voting for any major changes in the company.
So when trying to analyze a company (ex. to purchase stocks of) it is important to analyze those major share holders and look at their investment portfolio and strategies.

T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc. owns approximately 8.6 mil shares which is about 6% of Rockwell’s stock.
2. American Funds Washington Mutual Investors Fund
They own approximately 3.0 mil shares which is about 2.1% of Rockwell’s stock.
3. American Funds Income Fund of America
They own approximately 3.0 mil shares which is about 2.1% of Rockwell’s stock
4.Vanguard Capital Opportunity Fund
They own approximately 1.9 mil shares which is about 1.4% of Rockwell’s stock
5. American Funds Insurance Series Growth-Income Fund
They own approximately 1.9 mil shares which is about 1.3% of Rockwell’s stock
By just taking a quick look at the names above it is obvious that American Funds and T. Rowe Price should have a decent size control over strategic decisions that is made in Rockwell Automation
