Repeaters in ControlNet Network Topologies
Repeaters can be used in various topologies in ControlNet networks. Following are the four topologies with their features:
Bus Topology
- Repeaters have to be in series.
- This is the most basic (and more common) layout
Star Topology
Repeaters are configured as hubs in this configuration
Tree Topology
- Repeaters have to be in parallel form
- This formation is a combination of Star and Bus topology
Ring Topology
- You can fit a maximum number of 98 nodes in this formation
- It can transmit both clockwise and counter clockwise
- The above feature allows for communication to continue even if one side of the star formation gets disconnected as it can still communicate from the opposite path on the star.
