National Instruments Hosts NIWeek in Austin

From August 3th to the 5th, National Instruments (NI) is hosting a their 16th annual trade show at the Austin Convention Center called NIWeek. NI is a widely known software company that makes productivity tools for engineers.  They’re most popular product is a software package called LabView. According to the official NIWeek website, the event is;

three days of interactive technical sessions, targeted summits, hands-on workshops, and exhibitions on the latest developments for design, control, automation, manufacturing, and test. The conference also features keynote presentations and demonstrations that highlight how engineers and scientists can use NI graphical system design to test, measure, and fix inefficient products and processes to improve everyday life.

The Keynote speakers in attendance are:

  • Dr. James Truchard – President, Co-Founder & CEO of National Instruments
  • John Graff - VP of Marketing for National Instruments
  • Jeff Kodosky – Cofounder and Business and Technology Fellow at National Instruments
  • John Pasquarette – VP of Software Product Marketing at National Instruments
  • Ray Almgren – VP of Software, Education, and Training at National Instruements
  • Dr. Michio Kaku – Theoretical Physicist at the City College of New York

The show will also feature exhibits from dozens of other engineering firms showing off their products and how National Instruments plays a key role in their company.

If you are interested in honing your engineering skills using National Instruments products, or, to network with over 3,000 engineers from a multitude of disciplines, then perhaps the conference is worth checking out.  The cost of the event is between $150 and $995, depending on the type of pass and length of stay at the show.
