How Much Does a ControlLogix Module Cost?

ControlLogix is the premier line of automation control module by Rockwell‌ Automation. There are few ways a customer can buy the module:

Direct from Rockwell‌ Automation:‌ list price is on the higher $$$$ numbers.
Distributors: price varies from distributor to distributor (generally lower than the list price)
eBay: If you are buying for a plant and/or a large customer you are most likely going to go through a distributor. However if you just want to buy one for your personal use (automating your home) you might find comparatively good prices on eBay. You can find a ControlLogix L63 for $1000 or less. Keep in mind you might not get the warranties and support if you buy one off eBay.
Online Forums: You can also find modules on online forums like PLC‌ Forum.‌‌ Again I would highly suggest going through a distributor if you are buying for anything other than your personal use.
