Emerson Final Buyer of Chloride Group for $1.5 Billion

After a bidding war between ABB and Emerson for buying the British company Chloride Group, Emerson finally won. The win cost Emerson $1.5 billion dollars. ABB had offered $1.25 billion earlier. Emerson, mostly known for their industrial process solutions now finds its door to the $8 billion / year business of uninterrupted power systems.

Wall Street Journal has a good article going into more depth about the Emerson acquisition of Chloride Group.
