Emerson Bidding Cash for Chloride Group

About two weeks ago I posted about ABB trying to buy Chloride Group. I also mentioned how Emerson had already bid on Chloride before ABB and might get in a bidding clash with ABB.

Looks like it is happening. Emerson Electric Company has placed a new bid (cash bid) for Chloride Group for almost $1.5 billion. ABB now has 48 hours to place a counter bid.
