Tempe-based Amtech systems, best known for its supplies for automation systems for semiconductor diffusion furnaces, manufacturing of solar cells, silicon wafers and semiconductors, yesterday reported its Q3 2010 results with revenues in tune of $42 million. The company’s Q3 revenue represents a staggering 161% growth as compared to last quarter, primarily due to company’s phenomenal success in the solar market. The company witnessed record bookings amount to $44 million during the last quarter and its share shot up nearly 15 percent as compared to the last quarter.
Amtech Systems has an order backlog of $80 million as of June 30, 2010. Yingli Green Energy ranks amongst the company’s list of high-profile customers added during the last quarter.
If these preliminary revenue figures are anything to go by, Amtech looks comfortably poised to analyst expectations of $36.0.2 million. The company has a strong hold in the Chinese solar panel maker segment and looks well on track to further augment its existing customer base. Given that Amtech has enjoyed good volumes of solar orders for last three consecutive quarters, it is no surprise that Amtech looks well on track to beat Wall Street’s expectations. Amtech plans to report its Q3 2010 results in early August.
