What Company Will ABB Buy Next?

I was reading news from Smart Trend (stock market tracking and advice website) and came across a short article on Highest Levels of Cash in Heavy Equipment Industry. What was interesting for me was the fact that ABB (NYSE:ABB) has (even after their acquisitions lately) over $9 billion in cash. They tried to buy Chloride Group for $1.25 billion and got outbid by Emerson for $1.5 billion. ABB pulled out of that bidding war. T. Rowe Price just announced that the bought Emerson shares during their last quarter. This was an interesting news because T. Rowe Price is also the largest stock holder in Rockwell Automation. It is no surprise of course that they would want to diversify their stock portfolio. This sparked a question in my mind. If a company owns enough shares of two competing companies that gets them a board seat on each company how would they manage the two seats particularly when competition arises between the two companies? Siemens, the industrial automation giant, has introduced a new industrial monitor model namely the SCD 1900. It is priced at the lower of industrial monitor prices at $1265.00 list price which means customer can probably get it at 20% or 30% (or more) cheaper than that. The new monitor is 19″ and has a 1440 x 900 resolution. The SCD1900 is available with or without a touch screen capability and is equipped with both VGA and DVI interfaces.
